28th Annual Conference ~ Dr. Eric G. Mackey, Keynote Speaker

The 28th Annual Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency ~Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham, AL.  This year’s conference theme will be PERSONALIZED LEARNING:  EDUCATING THE WHOLE CHILD.  Dr. Eric Mackey, State Superintendent, will be one of the keynote speakers.  Join us for two great days of learning!

But how do we make sure that tech-supported professional learning maintains the necessary focus on quality, that it is collaborative, sustained, job-embedded, and data-driven? How do we ensure that convenience and accessibility don’t overshadow depth and student needs? Deadline: The Learning Professional, October 2020 Article Submissions

How do we create schools that are welcoming and productive learning environments for all? This issue will explore the role of professional learning in ensuring that every student feels safe, supported, and successful at school. Articles might cover topics such as inclusion of students with special needs in mainstream classrooms, increasing instructional rigor for English Learner students, addressing implicit bias among teachers and/or students, and improving social and emotional learning strategies. Priority will be given to articles that focus on building educators’ capacity for ongoing practices rather than short-term intervention programs.
